- The Defence of Calais -
An incredible account by William Harding, attached to the Royal
Artillery. A very courageous man who fought the Germans to almost
the end when his unit was ultimately cornered under the shadows of the
Citadel. From there he was forced marched as a PoW to Stalag
V111B, Lamsdorf where he spent the remainder of the war. Bill is
now aged 92.

The amazing account of HMS Formidable and her final battle in the Far
East in 1944 prior to the end of hostilities. An inspiring
account of the endurance of the British Carrier fleet against an enemy
that was prepared to commit Kamikaze attacks to win the battle.

- Into Battle with a Wooden Gun - Geoffrey
Pulzer of Hatfield, writes of the time when following a tank battle in
Normandy he was equipped with a wooden gun in an effort to show
armoured strength until a replacement tank was available.
