Personnel & Veterans Agency
The former
'Veterans Agency' is now known as the Service Personnel and Veterans
Agency (SPVA) which has merged with the 'Armed Forces Personnel
Administration Agency (AFPAA) and will provide for the first time, a
range of 'through life' support functions direct to around 900,000
serving and ex-Service personnel. Follow the link provided above which

Commonwealth
War Graves Commission
The Commonwealth
War Graves Commission is responsible for marking and maintaining the
graves of those members of the Commonwealth forces who died during the
two world wars, for building and maintaining memorials to the dead
whose graves are unknown and for providing records and registers of
these burials and commemorations, totalling 1.7 million and found in
most countries throughout the world.

The Imperial War
Museum is unique in its coverage of conflicts, especially those
involving Britain and the Commonwealth, from the First World War to the
present day. It seeks to provide for, and to encourage, the study and
understanding of the history of modern war and 'war-time experience'.

National Archives
The National Archives is a new
organisation incorporating the Public Record Office and the Historical
Manuscripts Commission. A main source of family and historical research
in the UK, our holdings include service records covering the period

funding for WWII veterans (with a spouse/carer) who saw active service,
or war widows, to take part in commemorative visits (UK or overseas) to
mark the anniversary of events that led to the end of the war.
Applications can be made from now until 31 January 2011 (conditions
apply).
